Isabelle O. Berg

Isabelle O. Berg, 94, of Sioux City, passed away on July 14, 2014 at Casa De Paz Nursing Home. There will be a private graveside service in the Evergreen Cemetery in Walthill, NE. There will be a Memorial Service at 11:30 A.M. Friday, July 18, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Isabelle was born on June 16, 1920 in Walthill, NE to Guy and Rose Agnes (Simpson) Means. She graduated from Walthill High School. Isabelle was married to Einar Swan Berg in 1939 in Dakota County. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1980. Isabelle worked for Innerbake Foods for 30 years. She enjoyed attending lunch at the Senior Center. Isabelle volunteered at the Airport Information desk and later at the Sergeant Floyd Welcome Center. She is survived by her son, Don (Cathy) Berg of North Sioux City, SD; granddaughter Pam (Pierre) Doyon of Sioux City, IA; great grandchildren Rachel Doyon and Corey Aguirre; 2 great-great grandchildren Kelsey and Khloe; and a sister Thelma Bowman of Salem, OR. She was preceded in death by her husband, sons Gerald and James, sisters Midge Swanson and Edith Haskell and a half-sister Josephine Clincher.
