Julie Marie Bartolozzi-Nelson, 36, passed away peacefully on Monday July 7, 2014. She was surrounded by family and friends throughout the whole fight, which is what she always loved, to have people around. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, July 11, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will begin 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. Julie was born on March 14, 1978 in Sioux City, Iowa to Joan Gagnon and Roger LeFebvre. She graduated from North High School in Sioux City, Iowa. Julie was an employee at North Middle School for 12 plus years. Julie was amazed by sunsets and she was a very good photographer. One of her favorite things to take pictures of were sunsets. She enjoyed being around all of her friends whenever they had the chance. "Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear." Left to honor Julie and remember her love are Julie's three children Brenden Bartolozzi, Jared Jewett, and McKenzie Jewett; five sisters, Jessica Lobsack, Melissa Lampe, Vada Richards, Jennifer Ross, Shauna LeFebvre; one brother, Roger Paul LeFebvre; special friend, Mick Wheelen. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elaine and Lyle Davis; brother-in-law, Bill Jewett; and step-father, Harold Gagnon. The family wishes to thank St Luke's Hospital and all of their staff for all of their hard work to help Julie fight through everything. They would also like to thank the June E Nylon Cancer Center for doing everything they could to help Julie try and find her cure. Finally, thanks to the North Middle School Lunch Personnel for their continued love and support.
