Roseanna Watchorn, 89, of Ponca, NE, formerly of Newcastle, NE passed away on Tuesday, July 01, 2014 at a Sioux City Hospital surrounded by family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peters' Catholic Church in Newcastle, NE with Father Andrew Sohm officiating. Burial will be in the St. Peters' Church Cemetery in Newcastle, NE. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. with a wake service at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. Thursday till service time at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online Condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Roseanna was born on April 23, 1925 in Newcastle, NE to John and Annie (Kneifl) Marron. She attended and graduated from Newcastle High School. She was the youngest girl of 9 children. Roseanna was married to John "Bud" Lowe on April 18, 1946 at St. Peters' Catholic Church in Newcastle. Their union was blessed 5 children and 41 years of marriage. The couple farmed south of Ponca and then moved to Newcastle and owned and operated a service station and café for many years. Bud passed away on December 18, 1986 in Newcastle, NE. She was later married to Kenneth "Joe" Watchorn on July of 2000 at St. Peters' Catholic Church in Newcastle, NE, he preceded her in death in March of 2005. Roseanna enjoyed cooking and always trying new recipes. She loved getting family all together. She had a strong work ethic. After retiring from the restaurant business at age 65, she went into the house keeping business in the Sioux City area until age 75. She loved to travel and winter in Arizona. She was a member of St. Peters' Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Sodality. She is survived by her children Josephine (Kevin) Monahan of Sioux City; Sharon (Marlan) Rolfes Newcastle, NE; John R. (Jeri) Lowe of Newcastle, NE; and Debra (Marvin) DeBlauw of Hartington, NE; grandchildren Patrick Monahan; Jill (Scott) Love; Kerri (Bruce) Meyer; Chad (Lori) Rolfes; Craig (Jenny) Rolfes; Jeremiah Hinz; Sarah Lowe; Ryan (Emily) Lowe; Riley Lowe; Abbey Lowe; Matt (Becky) Jones; Marcus (Mandy) Jones; Jason Jones; 18 great grandchildren; a special brother Glenn (Eileen) Marron and sister-in-law Catherine Marron. She was preceded in death by both husbands and her daughter Mary Ann Lowe, and a daughter-in-law Irene "Reno" Lowe. Roseanna was truly the center of her family. She lived out her faith every day and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorials may be directed to St. Peters' Catholic Church, P.O.
