Frances Geneva "Gen" Klaus, 78, of Ida Grove, IA passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at a Sioux City Hospital. Per her wishes, her body was cremated. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. She did clerical work, retiring from Gateway. In 2000 she moved to Ida County, where she resided until her death. Gen is survived by her children, Peggy Leggett of Cushing, IA; GerriAnn (Sheldon) Pettit of Battle Creek, IA; Laurie (Keith) Mesner of Sac City, IA; Laurence Michael (Peggy) Bertrand of Quimby, IA; Michelle (Frank) Richardson-Tenuta of Sioux City, IA; sister Lynell Sheahan of Sabetha, KS; brother Paul H. Koss, II (Marion) of Hampton, VA; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy Lee Fuchs, 2 son-in-laws, and 6 grandchildren.
