September 11, 1956 — June 19, 2014

Linda E. Wanamaker, 57 of Sioux City lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday June 25th, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Burial will be in the Cushing City Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday June 24th at the funeral home. Linda was born September 11, 1956 in Sioux City; she was the daughter of Walter and Julie (Robins) Hetrick. Linda graduated from Winnebago High School and then lived most of her life in Sioux City. She married Ron Wanamaker July 2, 1976 and they were divorced in 2000. Linda worked for Goodwill Industries for 8 years and then did in home health care for many years. Linda was a member of the Moose Lodge in South Sioux City, NE and a great contributor to the NA and AA Recovery Communities for the last 28 years. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Survivors include 2 daughters: Trudi Corey (Brian) of Sioux City, Amanda Wanamaker and her significant other Chris Chrestensen of Sioux City; 4 grandchildren: Nicole Cummings (Sam Chernook), Morgan, Nathan and Noah Corey; special friends: Pam and Curlie Long, Karla Bryson and many touched friends, cousins, nieces and nephews; her ex-husband: Ron Wanamaker. Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Walter and Julie Hetrick; Russell Rodman; a sister: Shirley Hopkins, a brother: Derald Thompson and an infant daughter Ashley Lyn Wanamaker
