Marcella M. "Marty" Mustapha, 95 of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at a local care facility following a short illness. Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Rev. Michael Erpelding will officiate. Private graveside services will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 2:00 until service time at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Marty was born October 22, 1918 in White Lake, SD; she was the daughter of William and Susan (Hettinger) Axemaker. The family lived in Mitchell, SD and then moved to the Leeds area of Sioux City in 1925. She married Clayton "Speed" Mustapha Dec. 14, 1940 in Sioux City, he passed away on Oct. 19, 1989 in South Sioux City, NE. Clayton and Marty owned and operated the Alumni Club and the Carousel Tavern in Sioux City. Marty was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Sioux City and South Sioux City. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing cards and animals. Survivors include her sister, Arlene White of Sioux City and many nieces and nephews. Marty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clayton, and 3 sisters: Alvina Langley, Marge Mertz and Dorothy Boyle. The family would like to thank Hospice of Siouxland and her friend, Norma and her family for the love and care they gave to Marty.
