Patricia Marie Toben

Ms. Patricia Marie (Pueppke) Toben 76, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Monday June 16, 2014 at a Sioux City nursing home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday June 20, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday June 19, 2014 from 4 till 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 till 8 p.m. and prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Patricia Marie (Pueppke) Toben the daughter of Anton & Myrtle (Murphy) Pueppke was born May 2nd 1938 in Lyons Nebraska. Patricia attended Sioux City Schools. She married Franklin S. Crooks Jr. on June 25th 1955 in Sioux City Iowa and later divorced. To this union three children were born Victoria (Crooks) Kabrick, Scott Crooks, and Douglas Crooks all of Sioux City. Later she married her soul mate in life, Donald Warren Hegna, on August 13th 1977 in Elk Point South Dakota. Donald passed away on June 3rd 1986. On January 9th 1989 she married John Toben Jr in Elk Point South Dakota and later divorced June 8th 1998. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends the most. She spent many years running a rummage as a business out of her garage. Where she enjoyed the friendships she built. She also enjoyed fishing, crocheting, putting puzzles together, canning, and shopping for bargains. Her greatest joys of life were spent watching her family grow and helping raise her grandchildren and grandchild. While at the Akron nursing home she looked forward to playing bells for others, bingo, and talking with those that she built relationships with. Survivors include: her daughter Victoria (Crooks) Kabrick of Sioux City and her three children Christine & Sonya Stroman of Le Mars, Eric Rains of Sioux City, and Annie Rains of Sioux City; her son Scott Crooks of Sioux City and his two children Patience Andresen and Lucas Andresen both of Sioux City; and her son Douglas Crooks of Sioux City and his two sons Douglas Jr & Courtney of Hornick Iowa, and Dustin Crooks of Sioux City. Patricia also had 13 great grandchildren, one step great granddaughter, one great great granddaughter, two step great great grandchildren, and many cousins, and close family friends. Patricia was proceded in death by her parents Anton & Myrtle Pueppke. Her brothers John Pueppke Sr.(Gloria), Daniel Pueppke, her sister Kay (Pueppke) Scofield (Doug), her late husband Donald Hegna, grandson Clinton Rains, granddaughter Latisha Lee, and her dog spotsy.
