Dorothy Mae "Dottie" Rolfes Suckstorf, 98, of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Craig Collison officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Dorothy was born on May 19, 1916 in Westfield, IA to George and Ida (Pelroy) Warren. She attended Cathedral High School. Dorothy was married to Cletus Rolfes in 1949, he preceded her in death in 1978. She later married Harry Suckstorf on September 27, 1980, he preceded her in death on October 2, 2001. She owned and operated her own bakery in Sioux City called Dottie and Clet's Homemade Pies. Dorothy loved attending area ballroom dances. She will be fondly remembered for her great pies! She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Dorothy is survived by her niece Brenda Ruhrer and Terri Warren of Sioux City and her nephew Marlin DeGrandmont of Galt, CA, and numerous additional nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
