Gerald L. Bohnhoff

Gerald L. "Jerry" Bohnhoff, 74, of Sioux City, formerly of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at a Sioux City Hospital. Per his wishes, Jerry was cremated. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Armand J. Bertrand officiating at the Graceland Park Cemetery. A reception will be held at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel following the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Jerry was born on June 4, 1939 in Rock Rapids, IA to Dale and Jane (Herbert) Bohnhoff. He graduated from Rock Rapids High School and Dakota Wesleyan University, in Mitchell, SD. Jerry spent his career in social services, most recently as the Executive Director of Community Outreach in Sioux Falls, SD. He enjoyed volunteering his time at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at funeral dinners, Eucharistic Adoration, Offering Counter, and spending his time working at the Bargain Center for the Catholic Schools. Jerry is survived by his sister Kathy Bohnhoff of Topeka, KS; and brothers Michael Bohnhoff of Evans, CO; and Jim Bohnhoff of Orlando, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Siouxland.
