Paul S. Rustwick, 88, of Sioux City passed away May 19, 2014 of complications from Alzheimer's. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Paul was born and raised in Sioux City. He graduated from Sioux City East, where he was active in football, basketball, and served as class president. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He started in the carpentry trade and became a construction superintendent for W.A. Klinger. Paul married Georgia Lester, who preceded him in death in 1980. He then was married to Blanche Saunders in 1984. She preceded him in death in 2011. His last three years were spent in Minneapolis living near family. Paul had many friends. He loved to dance, coach kids, was an artist, and avid hunter and fisherman. He loved all sports and had a great love for his Norwegian customs and heritage. Most importantly, he had a deep love for family. Survivors include his children, Lynn (Ron) Olson, Gary (Pat) Rustwick and Tom (Cheryl) Rustwick; four stepdaughters, Vicki (Bob) Toothaker, Lee (Pat) Croker, Judy (Terry) Stanart and Julie Morgan; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will forward any memorials to The Alzheimer's Association. Paul will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.
