Roger W. Eimers, 80, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at a local care facility. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at River Hills Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. Roger was born the son of William and Mathilda (Meyer) Eimers on January 8, 1934 in Fenton, Iowa. He attended grade school and high school in Fenton, graduating in 1951. Roger married Beverly Hansen in 1982 in Sioux City. He moved to Sioux City in 1960 and worked for Tower Construction, Klinger Construction, and Brower Construction until retirement. Roger enjoyed golfing and was very proud of his hole in one. He also liked bowling and fishing. He was an active member of River Hills Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Roger honorably served his country in the United States Army. Roger is survived by one step-daughter, Dawn (Robin) Gereau of Florida; one brother, Harlan (Delores) Eimers of Fairmont, Minnesota; two sisters, Verda Hiskey of Des Moines, Iowa and Venita (Darrell) Stusse of Sioux City, Iowa; special friend, Vicki (Roger) Bowman of Sioux City; and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly; two brothers, Harold and Dennis; two sisters, Evelyn and Edna; and one brother-in-law, Gene.
