Janice M. Jones, 61 of Sioux City passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at a Sioux Falls, SD Hospital. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Floyd E. Brown will officiate. Visitation with the family present will be from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M. Friday with a prayer service at 6:00 P.M. at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. On October 5, 1952, the late Rev. Pete and Rosalene (Jackson) Jones were blessed with their daughter Janice Marie Jones. Janice was born in Bastrop, LA where she spent all of her childhood and many more years, but later she settled in Sioux City. Janice was known in the city for her loving, caring and kindness for people of all kinds. Janice accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal Savior. She was also a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Sioux City. Janice also worked at a couple of the local nursing homes here in Sioux City for some time. She was still busy doing her favorite duty, which was being loving and kind to everybody she loves. Survivors include 3 children: Willie D. Jones of Sandstone, MN, Ushica Jones of Sioux City and Desmond Jones of Sioux Falls, SD; 4 sisters: Margaret Combs of Minot, ND, Joy Jones of Bastrop, LA, Pamela Sanders (Jerry) of Bastrop, LA and Gwendolyn Jones of Milwaukee, WI; 3 brothers: Doyle Jones, of Niagara Falls, Canada, Gary Jones (Anna) of Minot, ND, Arthur G. Jones of Minot, ND, 8 grandchildren: Shaunteria Ford (Narada Ford), Tykell Robinson III, Destynee Abair, Willie Jones, Jr, Amora Greer, Kiania Wietzel, Elijah Handy and Taylor King; a great granddaughter: Jherni Ford
