Michelle Kathleen Hilburn

Michelle Kathleen Hilburn, 20 of Sioux City, passed away from injuries sustained in an accident on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Deacon Patricia Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com Michelle was born on November 19, 1993 in Sioux City to Dennis and Krista (Dekker) Hilburn. She received her education in the Sioux City Public School, finishing at West High School. Michelle had worked at both Stream and Alorica before joining the crew at Merry Maids just two weeks ago. She was a free spirit, enjoying social media, listening to music, and was engaged to the love of her life, Mark Conlon of Sioux City. Michelle was a cat lover, and held a special place in her heart for her cat Izzy. Michelle is survived by her family from Sioux City including her parents; sister Kaitlynn Hilburn and her son Samuel John Hilburn; maternal grandparents James and Kathleen Dekker; fiancé Mark Conlon; aunt Sarah Keleher and her husband Chuck and their children Bailee, Cameron, and Casey; uncle Dan Dekker and his children Ashley and Garrett; and numerous friends. Michelle was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Duane and Dorothy Hilburn, maternal great-grandparents Henry and Etta Vaner Zwaag of Orange City, and two uncles Dwight and David. A Memorial Fund has been established by Merry Maids at Security National Bank to assist with expenses, so those wishing to help the family, donations may be made to the bank in Michelle's name.
