Lisa R. Ford

Lisa R. Ford, 48 of Sioux City, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at her residence. Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 1st, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Deacon Patricia Roberts officiating. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery will take place at a later date. Visitation, with the family present will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to the Siouxland Humane Society in Lisa's name. Lisa was born on August 31, 1965 in Sioux City to Chris and Lydia (Epperson) Ford. She received her education in Sioux City Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1983 at West High School. She enjoyed her Assistant Manager position at the Siouxland Humane Society before ill health required her early retirement. Lisa enjoyed fishing, camping, playing Bingo and had a deep love for animals, especially cats. She loved spending time with her family. Lisa is survived by her daughters Laci Richard, Allison Ford, and Rosanna Kohl, all of Sioux City, and Naqia Richard of Yankton, SD; sons Daniel and Kenneth Richard, both of Sioux City; sister Ellen Ford of Sioux City; brother David Preston of Sioux City; grandsons Brayden Ford, Joseph James Richard, Alex Richard, and Dominic Mandicino; granddaughters Sophia Nelson, Kendall Wilson, and Nevaeh Richard; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, son Frank Richard Jr. and his father Frank Richard Sr., infant son Anthony (twin of daughter Allison) at 10 months of age, and granddaughter Madison Richard.
