SIOUX CITY | Craig A. Mannion, 64, of Sioux City, IA died Sunday, Apr. 20, 2014 at his home after a long illness. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 24, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Craig was born June 8, 1949 in Sioux City the son of William "Bill" and Florence "Pitty" (Fries) Mannion. He graduated from Central High School. On Aug. 9, 1969 he married Patricia A. Beglau in Sioux City. Craig served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Jackson (Nebr.) American Legion. Craig worked at Condon Motors Co. for 15 years and Peterbilt for 20 years. He retired Oct. 31, 2010. He enjoyed fishing, camping and his time at Dakota Rose. Most of all, he loved his family unconditionally. Survivors include his 3 children, Amy Mannion and her significant other, Jared Kudera, Kristi Meinke and her significant other, Jack O'Neill,and Matthew Mannion and his significant other, Kayla Helmhold, all of Sioux City; his mother, Pitty Mannion of Sioux City; 2 brothers, Curt Mannion and Clark Mannion, both of Sioux City; a sister, Carol Bunch and her husband, Jim of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren, Tyler and his significant other, Casie, Marcel, Corenz, Jaleque, Brent, Christopher, Abigail, Jace, MaKayla, Alexis, Braxton, Amelia and Alyssa; and a great-grandson, Maddox. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patty, a brother, Calvin "Mickie" and his father, Bill.
