Cathy M. Meyers

Cathy M. Meyers, 62 of Sioux City passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Rev. Michael Erpelding will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. Sunday all at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel Cathy was born January 20, 1952 in Sioux City; she was the daughter of Charles and Marie (Bahrenfuss) Meyers. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Heelan High School in 1970. Cathy worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone for 12 years and then for several other businesses in Sioux City over the years. Cathy was a very special aunt to many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. She was a kind, generous woman who always had time to listen and support her family in all they did. Her main joy in life was connecting with family and friends. She was a loving, gentle care giver and loyal friend to all she met. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and outgoing personality. She will be missed dearly by so many. Survivors included 4 brothers and sisters: Charles "Chuck" Meyers of Sioux City, Mary Krejci and her husband Jeff of Moville, IA, Patty Perry and her husband Patrick of Lincoln, NE, Jim Meyers and his wife Michelle of Sioux City; several nieces and nephews Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and 2 grand nephews: Tyler and Samuel
