SIOUX CITY | Margaret K. Jones, 80 of Sioux City, IA died Thursday, Mar. 27, 2014 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Mar. 31, 2014 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Kathy Martin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday with the family present 6-8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., with Rev. Merrill Muller officiating, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Margaret was born November 13, 1933, in Moville, Iowa, the daughter of Lee and Margaret (Kennedy) Donahue. She was raised and attended school in the Moville area and graduated from Moville High School in 1951. She then attended National Business Training School in Sioux City. She married Dave Jones on July 25, 1953 in Moville. He died June 19, 2006. She resided in Sioux City for most of her adult life except for about 3 years in the Cherokee and Spencer, Iowa areas while her husband was employed there. She was employed at Dial Finance for 6 years, Bekins Furniture for 20 years and at First National/Firstar/US Bank for 18 years. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women and Joy Circle. She had done volunteer work for several organizations. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by a son and his wife, Ron and Susie Jones of Sioux City, two daughters, Kathy Fyock and Diane and her husband, Mitch Rorris of Sioux City. Seven grandchildren: Jill (Chad) Gran, Josh (Alison) Jones, Jake Jones, Rhiannon (Jay) Foulk, Courtney (Chris) Ahlquist, Brian and Megan Rorris. Great-grandchildren: Bella, Henlee, Gavin, Ryder, Wyatt, Maven, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one sister, Rhoda Knaack. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. The family would like to thank all of her caregivers, including the staff at Stoney Brook Suites, Mercy Medical Center, Holy Spirit Retirement Home and Dr. Richard Kipp. Finally, Kelly Nashleanas, thank you for being there for her when she needed a friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in her name to Wesley United Methodist Church or Holy Spirit Retirement Home.
