Lila M. Miller, 80, of Sioux City, passed away Monday March 24, 2014 at a local care facility. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Reverend Tess Panamarow officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. with the family present from 6 to 8 P.M. with a prayer service at 7 P.M. all at the church. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Lila was born the daughter of Charles and Lulu (Forbes) Phillips on May 30, 1933 in Sioux City, Iowa. She received her education in the Sioux City schools. Lila married Clifford Smith on September 28, 1950. They made their home in California. They later divorced and Lila moved back to Sioux City. She married Leonard Miller on October 22, 1972 in Sioux City. They lived in Texas for 25 years before moving back to Sioux City in 2003. Leonard died in 2005. Lila was a homemaker for most of her life. Lila enjoyed watching The Game Show Network and doing crossword puzzles and plastic canvas. She had a great sense of humor until the end. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Touchstone Living Center. Lila is survived by two daughters, Mickey (Dan) Goosmann and Michelle "Shelley" Watkins both of Sioux City; one son, Michael Smith of Omaha, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ernest and Irvin; two sisters, Irma and Edna; and twin great-grandsons, Damen and Orion.
