William "Bill" Gerald Keil beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday February 27th at his home in Sioux City, IA. To honor the wishes of Bill, the family held a private Graveside Service for Bill yesterday, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Eastview Cemetery in rural Allen, Nebraska. The family thanks you for your prayers, Bill is already greatly missed. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel assisted the family with arrangements. Bill was born June 6, 1934 in Allen, NE to Augustus and Etta Keil. He married Joyce Still in November of 1953 and enjoyed over 60 years of marriage. They were blessed with five children. William was a well known contractor in Sioux City up to his retirement. His hard work ethic was unparalleled and earned him respect in the community. He took pride in delivering on his reputation for getting the job done and getting the job done right. He volunteered his gifts to rebuilding the Open Bible Church he attended under the leadership of Pastor Dougherty. He was a selfless man who possessed a cleverness and wit in both his approach to finding solutions and his sense of humor. Bill enjoyed nature, classical music, and studying his German heritage. He didn't ask for much to be happy, a cup of coffee and conversation with friends and family was amongst his greatest joys. He was a delight to all who knew him. Survivors include his wife Joyce, his five children-Kathy, Bill, Shirlee, Brad, and Lynda, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and brother Bernard. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings Helen, Paul, Horace, and Earl.
