Tamara J. Nelson, 55 of Dakota Dunes, SD passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church; 995 N. Sioux Point Rd, North Sioux City, SD. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. There will be a rosary recited by the Catholic Daughters of the America at 6:30 P.M. and a Vigil service at 7:00 P.M. Monday all at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Tamara was born February 12, 1959 in Norfolk, NE; she was the daughter of Dale and Mary (Wieseler) Miller. She grew up in Norfolk and Omaha. Tamara married Larry Nelson, Jr. December 10, 1977 in Sioux City. Tamara did volunteer work for several organizations in the Sioux City area. She was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Tamara enjoyed crocheting, bowling, reading and doing word searches, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband: Larry of Dakota Dunes, SD; her daughter: Pamela Nelson of Sioux City, her mother and father: Mary and Larry Seyl of Omaha, NE; her brothers and sister: Craig Seyl and his wife Terri of Olathe, KS, Robin Seyl of Minneapolis, MN, Dale (Miller) Seyl and his wife Laurie of Omaha, Daniel Seyl of Olathe, Ks, Corey Seyl of Raleigh; NC; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Tamara was preceded in death by her father: Dale Miller and a son: Joseph Nelson. The family would like to thank Hospice of Siouxland for the wonderful care they gave to Tamara.
