Bernadine McClure, 85, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at a Sioux City hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. McClure will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Al Weiss of First Assembly of God officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 till 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. with the family present from 4 till 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial park Cemetery. Bernadine was born October 3, 1928 in Armour, South Dakota the daughter of Steven and Opal (Moles) Connell. She Graduated from Armour, South Dakota High School and was a resident of Sioux City since 1945. She married Eugene McClure the love of her life on December 19, 1946 Eugene preceded her in death April 19, 1989 in Sioux City. Bernadine was a home maker and great cook taking care of the home and children. Bernadine McClure is survived by two sons: Jimmy and Jeanne McClure of Sioux City, IA; Douglas McClure of Sioux City, IA. Four daughters: Sally and William Oden of Bloomington, MN, Janet and Paul Wiig of South Sioux City; Nancy Autumm of Sioux City and Susan and David Smith of Overland Park, KS. and one sister Frances Pokorney; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Julie and Maryparents, three brothers: Otis, Donald and Robert Connell, Five sisters: Hazel Schmidt, Mariane Spiegel, Doris Briegel, Bernice Connell, Marvel Lucas.
