SIOUX CITY | Cecile E. Michael, 94, of Sioux City, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at Embassy Rehab & Care Center in Sgt. Bluff, IA. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenny Hsu officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Cecile was born March 13. 1919 in Sioux City the daughter of Edward and Eleanor (Hanson) Flower. On June 21, 1934 she married Emmett E. Michael. Together they raised two children, Emmett Jr. and Lei Lani. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Cecile was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, taught Sunday school and belonged to the church's Mr. & Mrs. Club. She was a member of the Women's League and volunteered for the Fire Department Auxiliary. Cecile enjoyed sewing and painting scenery and flowers. She loved animals of all kinds and she especially loved dogs. Survivors include her son, Emmett Michael, Jr. of Marana, AZ and Lei Lani Kamprath and her husband, Fredric "Fritz" of Boca Raton, FL; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Siouxland Humane Society.
