Gary W. Dickman, 72, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Michael Erpelding officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. and a vigil service will be at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Gary was born on September 25, 1941 in Otto, IA to Francis and Audrey (Douglas) Dickman, Sr. He graduated from Heelen High School. After graduation, he served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Navy. He was married to Sandra S. Moore on May 11, 1963 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. He was a devoted husband of fifty years. He owned and operated Radiator King for many years in Sioux City. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was very involved in numerous church organizations and functions. He was always ready to lend a hand to whoever needed it. He enjoyed taking walks, decorating for the holidays and spending time with family. Gary is survived by his 3 children Kevin and wife Jessette Dickman of Rohnert Park, CA; Kelly and husband Kim Downs of Livonia, MI; and Krystina Dailey of Sioux City; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; brother Dick and wife Dorothy Dickman of Sioux City; sisters Evelyn and husband Warren Wright of Kent, WA; Marcia and husband Bill Crowley of Briar Cliff, TX; sister-in-laws JoAnn Dickman of Sioux City; and Ellynne Dickman of Parma Heights, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers, Lawrence, Paul and Leo and a sister-in-law Sally Dickman.
