Robert "Bo" Bergeson, 73, of Sioux City passed away January 18th, 2014. He lived in Buffalo New York near his youngest daughter Jill Lanfear, and died peacefully surrounded by his three daughters at the Gowanda nursing home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 1st, 2014, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Deacon Patricia Roberts officiating. A private family inurnment will follow at Graceland Park Cemetery. Robert Bergeson was born April 8th, 1940 in Sioux City, Iowa, to Mary and Milo B. Bergeson. He graduated from East High School in 1958. He began his career as a cattle salesman in the Bergeson family Midwest Livestock Commission Company. He then went on to open Packers Trading Company in the late 60's. In his younger years, Bo was a professional figure skater. He and his skating partner, Vivian Hayes, placed fifth in the National Pair Figure Skating Championship in 1957. He is survived by his former wife, Susan (Chesterman) Bergeson and their four children: Milo (Miriam) Bergeson, Tucson Arizona, Susie (Chris) Bentley, Edina Minnesota, Sheri (Dave) Klinkhammer, Chesterfield Missouri, and Jill (Matt) Lanfear, Hamburg New York and thirteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine "Kay" Hargrave, his brother Ronald Bergeson, and his parents. Bo had a great sense of humor, and a deep love for his family. There was never a dull moment with Bo. We all will cherish the memories we had with him.
