Tiffany Denise Schmitt

Tiffany Denise Schmitt, 28 of Homer, NE passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from injuries sustained in auto accident near Homer. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the First Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Rev. Alan Wicks will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Tiffany was born May 22, 1985 in Sioux Falls, SD; she was the daughter of Dan and Tami (Allison) Schmitt. Tiffany graduated from North High School in 2003. Tiffany was employed at Homer Community School and attended college at Northeast Community College. Tiffany loved with all her heart. She loved sports, competing in high school softball and track. She was a Cubs and Hawkeyes fanatic. Tiffany was also an avid reader. She loved camping with her siblings and she relished gatherings at Jeremiah's with friends and family. She liked riding above the traffic in her truck. She loved children and was working to become a teacher. Most of all Tiffany loved being TT, the best aunt and big sister. Tiffany is survived by her mother: Tami (Rich) Abernethy of Cedar Rapids, IA; her father: Dan (Deanna) Schmitt of Dakota City, NE; her step father: Jim (Lori) Schommer of Birmingham, AL; her sisters: Kassandra Schmitt of Homer, NE, Kaitlin Fehl of Sioux City; her brothers: Jeremiah Schmitt of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Jonah Schmitt of Dakota City, NE, Taylor Forsling of Las Vegas, NV; her maternal grandfather: Harlan "Lee" Allison of Waterbury, NE; maternal grandfather Rick Borg, Sioux City, Iowa, her maternal grandmother: Barbara Dale Borg of Fairfax, VA; seven nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Al and Maxine Allison, Martha and George Larvick, Fred and Bernice Grosenheider, Cornelius and Ardis Schmitt
