LeAnn Kaye Rich, 69, of Sioux City, IA passed away peacefully in her sleep, at her residence, on Tuesday, January 7th, 2014. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 11th at Faith Lutheran Church. Pastor Ralph Shorey will officiate the memorial service. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Funeral Home. LeAnn was born on September 17, 1944, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Ella Rude (Moore). She attended school and graduated high school in Correctionville, IA. She received her Nursing Degree in 1965 from Lutheran School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse for several years following. LeAnn married Charles (Chuck) W. Rich in Grand Island, Nebraska in 1968. They lived between Sioux City and Correctionville until permanently residing in Sioux City in 1979. After 30 years of marriage, her beloved husband passed away at an early age. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church where she confessed her faith in the Lord and living the example of a good Christian. LeAnn was active in her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, spending time with family and friends. She was an inspiration to many and warmed hearts through every encounter. She was a kidney transplant recipient and involved in her transplant support group. She is survived by her three children, Charles Rich, Jr of Sioux City, IA, Brian Rich of Sioux City, IA, and Cathy Robinson and husband Corey of Blaine, MN, four grandchildren, Tavaris, Devin and Darius Robinson of Blaine, MN, Jolie Rich of Sioux City, IA, and one great grandchild, Landon Johnson of Sioux City IA, three sisters, Deborah Stapinski of Vallejo, CA, Cathy Schuler of Portland Ore, and Robin Siegal of Vacaville, CA, and an enormous amount of friends who will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her mother, her grandparents, two brothers, Rick and Rusty, and a sister, Sue.
