Muzaffer H. "Vicki" Holtz, 86, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at Palisade Health Care in Garretson, S.D. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. David Koehler of Morningside Presbyterian officiating. Burial will be Hillside Cemetery, Merrill, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. with the Rev. David Carlson officiating, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences can be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Muzaffer H. "Vicki" Holtz was born on Aug. 3, 1927, in Istanbul, Turkey. She was the daughter of Apdulmeluh and Refika Cetindal. She married Harlan Holtz on May 31, 1952, in Ankara Turkey. They later moved to the United States in 1954. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was involved in the Bethel Baptist Missionary Association. In her free time, she enjoyed swimming, bowling, cooking, and reading. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Harlan; one son, Steve Holtz and his wife, Sunny of Sioux Falls; and two grandchildren, Sophie and Colby Holtz. She was preceded in death by her parents; and the family dog, Duke.
