Cynthia A. Combs, 59, of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Rev. Kristine Frank officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dakota City Cemetery in Dakota City, NE. Cynthia was born on December 20, 1954 in Sioux City to Marvin E. and Maxine (Brown) Koskovich. She graduated from South Sioux City High School and attended WITT for 2 years. She was married to Edward Combs in 1971. To this union 2 children were born. The marriage later ended divorce in 2001. Cynthia worked in retail for several years. She also was a Education and Bus Aid for Sioux City Schools, she cleaned for Woodbury County and also worked at the Orpheum Theater during their banquets. She loved tending to her plants, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was enjoyed playing pool and was in a dart league. She also enjoyed and was a very good swimmer and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Those who knew Cynthia will remember her for her unique way to express her opinions and thoughts. She is survived by her partner Bob Peterson of Sioux City; 2 sons Jason (Allison) Combs of Sioux City and Nicholas Combs of South Sioux City, NE; mother Maxine Koskovich of South Sioux City, NE; 2 grandchildren Lindsey and Jacob Combs of Sioux City; a brother Allen Koskovich of Grand Junction, CO and her beloved dog Emma. She was preceded in death by her father marvin, brother Mike and infant twin sisters Joi and Jan Lee. The family would like to thank Hospice of Siouxland and Cynthia's friend Nancy for all their help.
