Ida (Goldis) Coenson, 102 of Boynton Beach, FL and formerly of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013 in Boynton Beach. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Ida was born May 11, 1911 in Sioux City; she was the daughter of Ben and Celia (Epstein) Fish. Ida grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School. She went on to graduate from the University of Iowa. Ida was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she loved to play golf and she was an avid bridge player. Survivors include 2 sons: Jerome Goldis and his wife Barbara of Richardson, TX, David Goldis and his wife Judy of Farmington Hills, MI; 4 grandchildren: Maryl Weller, Mark Goldis and his wife Marie, Sondra Andree and her husband Paul, Yale Goldis and his wife Lisa. Ida is also survived by great and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Louis Fish, and 2 sisters: Sophie Spatz and Elyse Silverman.
