Birdie Gesland

Birdie Gesland, 84 of Chicago, IL and formerly of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Birdie was born April 26, 1929 in Clinton, IA, but she was raised in Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane of 38 years. She was a devoted mother to Gail (Dennis) Hendricks, Genelle and Brent Gesland, and Gwen (Scott) Rose. Loving grandmother of Eric Bennett, Alecia and Lyndsay Hendricks, Adam and David Rose; dearest sister of Twila Gustavson and the late Arvil and Cecil.
