Larry L. Porsch

Larry L. Porsch, 70 passed away on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013 at a local care facility following a brief illness. Larry had resided in Sioux City until an illness began and then he lived in Hinton, IA with his sister. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Rev. James Travis will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Hinton, IA. Larry was born Dec. 21, 1942 in Hinton, IA; he was the son of Theodore and Hilda (Jennings) Porsch. Larry attended country schools near Hinton. He did janitorial work and then lawn service work. Larry had a lot of friends and enjoyed going to coffee at Hy-Vee. He loved country music and in his younger years, he played the guitar. Survivors include 2 sisters: Sylvia (Walter) Schuttpelz of Hinton, IA, Kathy (Claire) Johnson of Sioux City; a sister in law: Judy Porsch of Amarillo, TX, several nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Theodore "Kenny" Porsch and Alvin Porsch. Pallbearers will be Bill, Bob and Shaun Johnson, Raymond and David Schuttpelz, Eric Hansen
