Ima N. Braun

Ima N. Braun, 96, of Lawton, Iowa died Saturday November 16, 2013 at Touchstone Living Center in Sioux City. Per her wishes her body will be cremated. A celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday from 6 till 8 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Ima was born March 8, 1917 in Danbury, Iowa to Elmer and Leula (Wilson) Rose. Her mother died in 1924 and Ima was adopted by Henry and Olga Nielsen. Ima married Karl Braun on December 10, 1949. They made their home on a farm in Lawton, Iowa to this union four sons were born. In her free time Ima enjoyed cooking and reading. Ima is survived by two sons Gus and Jim of Lawton, Two grandchildren Michelle and "Ben" Trudeau and Karl and Jeana Braun. One great-grandchild William Braun and one brother Bud Rose. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sons Robert and William along with four brothers.
