Clarence J. Pearson, 90, of Sioux City, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Touchstone Living Center. Per his wishes, his body will be cremated. There will be a Graveside service on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the US Army Reserves. Clarence was born on March 11, 1923 in Bayard, Nebraska to John C. and Bessie (Wood) Pearson. He graduated from Alliance High School in Nebraska. After graduation, he joined the United States Army servicing for 4 years. He was married to Florence Thompson in 1949. He was a diesel auto mechanic for Salsness Buick and Wonder Bread from which he retired. Clarence enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, carpentry work, cross word puzzles, cooking, baking and was a great pool player. He was known by his family and friends as a jack of all trades, he truly could do anything that you asked him to do. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Florence Pearson of Sioux City; 4 children Clifford Pearson of Sibley, IA; Burnett (David) Miller of Sioux City; Darrell (Cynthia) Pearson of Sioux City; and Jery (Kelly) Pearson of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a sister Mae Rich of Sioux City; a brother Charles Pearson of Sioux City; and Donald Pearson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Phillip.
