Pamela Kaye Riley, 68 of San Tan Valley, Arizona died the morning of Wednesday October 23, 2013 from complications following a routine surgery in Gilbert AZ. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Saturday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Jenkins of 1st Christian Church of Kimberling City, MO officiating. Visitation with the family present will be held between 5:00-7:00 Friday, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave., Sioux City, IA 51106 Pam was born to Merle and Shirley ( Heck) Longwell, Sept. 12, 1945 in Homer, NE. Pam graduated from Homer High School in 1964. She married Richard A. Riley on December 4, 1964 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Homer, NE and they resided together in the Homer area raising their 3 children. She received her Cosmetology License in 1989 and was a dedicated hair stylist working in South Sioux City, NE. In 1994 Pam and Richard relocated to Springfield, MO and later to Kimberling City, MO. Pam acquired her Life and Health' Insurance Agent License and worked as a representative for Allstate Benefits. She also later worked at the Wal-Mart Vision Center in Branson West, MO where Pam touched so many people with her caring ways until retiring to San Tan Valley, AZ in the spring of 2012. Pam was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandma, nana, sister and friend to so many. Pam celebrated life and loved family time on Table Rock Lake. She especially cherished time spent with her 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Pam's heart was full of music and loved a good dance with her husband of 49 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting and making quilts for her loved ones. Pam was active in the 1st Christian Church of Kimberling City where she affirmed her faith by being baptized in Table Rock Lake. Residing in Arizona she became an active member of Broadway Christian Church of Mesa, AZ and loved singing in the choir. Pam is survived by her mother: Shirley Longwell of Emerson NE, husband: Richard Riley of San Tan Valley, AZ, children: Cyndi Webb and husband Bill of Blair NE, Randy Riley and wife Annette of Clever MO, Kandi Washington and husband Scott of Woodland Park CO, 6 grandchildren: Colt Webb of Elkhorn NE, Samantha Jantz and her husband Garrett and their children Charlee and Cooper of Greensburg KS, Brooke and Brandi Riley of Clever MO and Tyler and Ali Washington of Woodland Park CO, 4 sisters: Nancy Ropken and husband Terry of Bailey CO, Gayle Miller and husband Eldon of Emerson NE, Kathy Whittington and husband Bruce of Magnolia KY and Pati Longoria and husband Dan of Lincoln NE. 2 brothers: Gordon Longwell and wife JoAnn of Hayden ID and Kevin Longwell of Edgewater CO. Pam is preceded in death by her father Merle Longwell and nephew Rodney Ropken. Pallbearers will be Gordon Longwell, Kevin Longwell, Bill Webb, Scott Washington, Colt Webb and Tyler Washington, A memorial has been established in Pamela's name.
