Randall Scott Monroe, 53, of Plymouth County, Iowa, passed away October 20, 2013, at Touchstone Living Center in Sioux City. Services and interment will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at the graveside, Liberty Perry Cemetery, Granite Avenue, Plymouth County. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Randall was born December 31, 1959, to Carleton W. Monroe and Veva E. (Trobaugh) Monroe. Randy never married. He worked as a mechanic at various companies throughout the United States. His favorite music was Mozart and country western. He took pleasure in fishing and woodworking and particularly enjoyed the beautiful draft horses owned and worked by his uncles. In the last few years of his life, Randy became a member of the Bah' Faith. He especially liked the no-nonsense teachings about life and God's mercy, grace, and forgiveness. Randy will be remembered for his meticulous attention to detail in his art and in his work, his mischievous smile, and his unique sense of humor. The caregivers at Touchstone remembered him as a peaceful soul and a calm spirit and mentioned that they were glad to have met him. He is survived by two brothers, Daryl of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Robert and his wife Debra of Sheldon, Iowa, one uncle, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two stillborn siblings.
