Martha L. Miller, 83 of Sioux City passed on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 at a local care facility after a long illness. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Rev. Tom LoVan will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. and a service by the Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile at 7:00 P.M. Friday all at the funeral home. Martha was born March 22, 1930 in El Paso, TX; she was the daughter of Louis and Gertrude (Culver) Duchouquette. Martha grew up in El Paso and attended Loretta Academy and then Texas Western College for 2 years. She married C. Richard "Dick" Miller June 5, 1954 in El Paso and after the marriage Martha and Dick settled in Sioux City. Martha was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church, Order of the Easter Star and Daughters of the Nile. She was a former member of P.E.O. Martha enjoyed golfing playing Bingo and bridge, traveling and fishing with Dick. Survivors include: her husband C. Richard "Dick" Miller of Sioux City; 3 sons: Charles Robert Miller of Florence, AZ, Patrick Louis Miller of Sioux City, Daniel Jerome Miller and his wife Dellia of Sioux City, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Zak Miller, Keith Miller, Steve Margeas, Buster Towns, Dee Noyes and Lee Olson In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland or the Abu Bekr Shrine Transportation Fund.
