Betty "Beth" J. Biederman

Betty "Beth" J. Biederman, 88 of Sioux City, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at a local nursing facility. Abiding by family wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Michael Erpelding as Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation, with the family present, will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Family requests no flowers for the service and memorials may be offered to the family. Beth was born on May 21, 1925 in Sioux City to Thomas and Catherine (Kimes) Solomon. She was a Master Cosmetologist in three states and worked in Sioux City for over 33 years which included working at Gingham Girl. Beth was a member of the Eagles Aerie 77 since 1951. She had a love for animals, and loved her family unconditionally. Beth was motivated and strong-willed, two traits her family fondly remembers. Beth is survived by her son Steve and his wife Karin and daughter Kathryn; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don Biederman in 2004, son Mark, sister Margaret Ross and brother Robert Johnson. The family would like to thank all of the employees and personnel for their help with mother during her stay at Touchstone.
