Ronald Lee Keleher Sr., 59 of Sioux City, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. A gathering will follow at Riverside Park. In lieu of flowers, family request memorials be made to the family. Ron was born on September 19, 1954 in Sioux City to Ronald D. and LaVonne F. (Wonder) Keleher. He received his education in the Sioux City Public Schools. Ron worked at Gateway in the Shipping Department before working as a transportation driver for the railroad. Ron loved the outdoors, including fishing, feeding birds, and just nature in general. He was an avid lover of animals and NASCAR. Ron was a loving person and his family was important to him. Ron is survived by his son Ron Keleher Jr. and his girlfriend Leisa Hilden. His son Benjamin Bennet; daughter Jennifer Murdock and her husband Jeremy; father and mother Ronald D. and LaVonne F. Keleher; sisters Gaye Lynne Flanders and Sheryl Prins; brother Kevin Keleher Sr. and his wife Louise; grandchildren Ty Austin Keleher, Seth Michael Keleher, Jazmine Murdock, and Joyce Murdock; sister-in-law Penny Keleher; special niece and nephew Missy Ringler and Jimmy Ringler; numerous additional nieces and nephews; and his special K-9 companion Scooter. Ron was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven F. and David A. Keleher, son Rickie Lee Keleher, and daughter Nicole L. Keleher. Also a brother-in-law Paul Prins. Honorary Bearers for the service will be Don Keleher, Jason Stevens, Jimmy Ringler, Jim Hathaway, Dan Hoffman, Jeremy Murdock, Chuck Keleher, and Josh Flanders.
