Betty "Betsy" Jean Tapper, 75, of Sioux City passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Touchstone Living Center. Graveside services will be on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. Betty was born on May 10, 1938 in Sioux City to Mike and Elizabeth (Humza) Borschuk. She graduated from Central High School. She was a homemaker and also employed as a nurses aide at St. Joseph Hospital for 10 years. She was married to Darwin Tapper on May 9, 1959 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2000 in Sioux City. Betty was very artistic and enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, crossword puzzles, tending her flower garden and making frequent stops visiting her friends at the Whistle Stop Casino. She is survived by her daughter Linda Kay Tapper; brother Phil Borschuk both of Sioux City and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters and 2 brothers
