Robert L. "Bob" Kamm, 81, of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at his residence. A funeral mass will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church with Reverend Bob Lacey officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 30, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. with the family present from 6 to 8 P.M. with a Vigil service at 7 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. Bob was born the son of George A. and Rose (Faber) Kamm on November 25, 1931 in Sioux City, Iowa. He married Mildred E. "Peggy" Lynott on July 19, 1951 in Bangor, Maine. Bob retired from the 185th Iowa Air National Guard after 40 years of military service with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He liked building homes and restoring old cars. He also enjoyed wintering in Texas with Peggy for over 25 years. Bob was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. Bob is survived by his wife, Peggy of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; five children and their spouses, Debby and Denny Dashner of Lawton, Iowa, Mike and Gisele Kamm of Lincoln, Nebraska, Kathy and Rick Schmidt of Bronson, Iowa, Vince and Kelly Kamm of Pell City, Alabama, and Jennifer and Shane Brainerd of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Mary Ellen O'Harrow of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Lou.
