Wilma J. Rewey, 81 of Sioux City, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at a local hospital. Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Pastor Fred Gums officiating. Visitation, with the family present, will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com Wilma was born on June 22, 1932 in Rodney, Iowa to Clarence and Dorothy (VanCleve) Davis. After moving to Anthon, Wilma graduated from Anthon Oto High School with the Class of 1949. She continued her education, receiving her cosmetology license after high school. Wilma married Henry Rewey Jr. on January 20, 1952 in Anthon, Iowa. Following Henry's military service, the couple moved to Sioux City where Wilma worked for the Younker's beauty shop for 10 years before working for the Clip N Curl for 26 years. Wilma is survived by her daughters Michele Pille of Van Meter, Iowa and Kim Dodson and her husband Bill of LeMars, Iowa; brother Don Davis and his wife Maureen of North Carolina; grandchildren Jeremy Pille, Aubrey Dodson, Jared Dodson, and Morgan Dodson; and great-grandchildren Sydney Pille and Owen Pille. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry in 1992, and one sister.
