Lou "Ann" Arnold, 78, of Sioux City, formerly of Pierson, Iowa, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at a local care facility. A memorial mass will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon, Iowa with Reverend Dan Greving officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. with the family present from 6 to 8 P.M. and a vigil service at 7 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel on Stone Park Blvd. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Anthon, Iowa. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. Lou Ann was born the daughter of Ralph and Bessie (Ping) Heath on June 5, 1935 in Anthon, Iowa. She graduated from Oto High School. Ann married Jay Arnold in Elk Point. She spent most of her life in Pierson before moving to Sioux City for the last ten years. Ann worked for Ed's Café in Kingsley for many years and also for Gateway Food Service for eight years. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, attending her grandchildren's activities, and volunteering as a senior companion. Lou Ann is survived by six children, Randy (Mary) Arnold of Eagle, Nebraska, Rhonda Arnold of Sioux City, Iowa, Rick Arnold of Sioux City, Iowa, Rita (Jack) Harrison of Sloan, Iowa, Robert (Julie) Arnold of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Rochelle (Steve) Reiter of Remsen, Iowa; three brothers, Ronnie (Karen) Heath of Long Beach, California, Dennis Heath of Riverside, California, and Richard Heath of Anthon, Iowa; two sisters, Delores (Bill) Collins of Kingsley, Iowa and Darlene (Sid) Coulas of Calgary, Alberta Canada; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald; five brothers, Kenneth, Donald, Johnny, Jimmy, and Francis; and three sisters, Norma, Belle, and Bonnie.
