Rick Joe Lyman

Rick Joe Lyman, 53 of Sioux City passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday July 5th at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend Merrill Muller officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Rick was born May 22, 1960 in Sioux City; he was the son of Arthur and June (Lumby) Lyman. He grew up in Sioux City and attended Hawthorne Grade School and North High School. Rick had worked as a machinist for Sioux Tools; he did farm work, garden tilling, lawn service and sod work. Rick loved movies especially comedies, animals and the outdoors. He had been going to Church at Pastor Steve Mitchem's Church in Stone Park. Survivors include his parents: Arthur and June Lyman of Sioux City; his brothers and sisters: a brother, Randy Lyman and his wife Tracy of Woodland Park, CO and their children Marc and Alex. Marc has 3 children; a sister, Vicki Beers of Colorado Springs, CO and her 3 children: Corey Beers and his wife Kristen, Eric Beers and his wife Karen, Kristen Breiner and her husband Adam. Corey has 2 children, Eric has 3 children and Kristen has 3 children; a sister: Sandra Nesbitt and her husband Neal of Athens, OH and their children: Nick Nesbitt and Erin Kyae and her husband Joshua. Erin has 2 children; a brother: Steve Lyman and his wife Shirley of Colorado Springs, CO and their children David Lyman and his wife Jill, Tricia Lyman and Brian Lyman. David has 3 children; a sister: Jacki Hansen and her husband Danny of Sioux City and their children Jami Hansen and Travis Hansen. Travis has a son Hunter. Rick was preceded in death by a brother: Dennis Lyman, his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
