Irene L. McPeek

Irene L. McPeek, 73, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at her residence. Abiding by her wishes her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Reverend Merill Muller officiating. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. Irene was born the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth (Eaton) Crawford on March 12, 1940 in Whiting, Iowa. She graduated from Whiting High School in 1958. Irene married James W. McPeek on January 7, 1962 in Elk Point, South Dakota. She retired from Interbake Foods. Irene enjoyed fishing and camping. She loved spending time with friends and family. Irene is survived by six sons, Brad (Patti) McPeek, Jerry (Theresa) McPeek, Kenny McPeek, Bill (Vickie) McPeek, Larry McPeek, and Mike McPeek; two daughters, Diana (Randy) Coulson and Caroline Beotger; one brother; five sisters; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; husband, James; one brother; and one sister.
