Marion L. Bielski, 74, of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at a Sioux City Hospital. Per his wishes he will be cremated. There will be a memorial service on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Deacon Ron Forrest officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. There will be a private family burial of his cremains in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Marion was born on June 7, 1939 in Sioux City to Marion and Edna (Wyant) Bielski. He graduated from East High School in 1957. Marion worked for over 40 years as a Foreman for Rosenthal Foods until the closing of the company. He then worked for Buy Rite Pallet until their closing. He also worked for Lieber Construction till his failing health. He was married to Betty Lang on May 25, 1960 in Sioux City. He had a passion for watching NHRA Drag Racing and most recently Sprint Cars. He is survived by his wife Betty of Sioux City; 3 daughters Stephanie (Ronald) Rens of Sioux City; Kathryn (Kevin) Babb of Sioux City; and Roxane (Mike) Juza of Oahu, Hawaii; 2 sons Bryan (Kaye) Bielski of Long Beach, CA; and Brent (Sue) Bielski of Omaha, NE; 8 grandchildren Ashley and Megan Schlag, Hannah Rens, Dena and Maya Bielski, Ryan and Tyler Juza, and Matthew Bielski; one sister Cookie (Bielski) Ober of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Jim Ober and a nephew Jamey Ober.
