Carole L. Wickey

SIOUX CITY | Carole L. Wickey, 70 of Sioux City, IA entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, June 21, 2013 at her home after a lengthy illness. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Erpelding officiating. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be sent online at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Carole was born Oct. 27, 1942 in Sioux City the daughter of Elmer William and Geraldine Frances (Mongar) Provost. She attended Sioux City schools and earned her LPN degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College. Carole retired from Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center. Carole had a quiet relationship with each and every one of her grandkids. She had a love for cooking and was an avid Heelan High School fan. Survivors include 4 children, Shelly Beermann of Sioux City, Sherry Schmitt of Sioux City, Ron (Michele) Wendt of Fremont, NE and Shannon Bryant of Sioux City; 4 siblings, Sharon Church, LeRoy (Kathy) Provost, Kathy (William) Bubb and Sheila Lias all of Sioux City; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Wendt, a daughter, Dawn Wendt, her parents and 2 brothers.
