Beverly J. Ernst, 82, of Sioux City passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at her residence in Sioux City. Per her wishes her body was cremated. There will be a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Beverly was born on February 27, 1931 in Sioux City to Rueben and Lois (Winter) Robbins. She attended Sioux City Schools. She was married to Earl J. Ernst on March 22, 1951 in South Sioux City, NE. She worked as a Cashier for Sunshine Foods on Gordon Drive for many years and later for Dollar General. Beverly enjoyed camping with her husband at the Little Sioux Campground for over the last 30 years. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. She is survived by her 3 sons Terry (Joan) Ernst of Peachtree City, GA; Gail (Joni) Ernst of Red Oak, IA; and Monty (Kim) Ernst of Sioux City; 7 grandchildren Ami Ernst; Tony Ernst; Regina Ernst; Jennifer (John) Medina; Elizabeth Ernst; Andrew Ernst; and Nathan (Ali) Ernst; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Joyce (Dean) Warrick of CA. Phyllis (AJ) Grego of TX; a brother Robert (Stacy) Robbins of FL; and a brother-in-law Cliff Goodrich of Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Patty Goodrich. The family would like to thank Care Initiative Hospice especially Robin and Sammi for all they did.
