Angeline "Annie" (Skaff) Lockwood, 86 of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at her residence. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at St. Thomas Orthodox Church. Rev. Lucas Rice will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday and a Trisagion Service at 7:00 P.M. Sunday all at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in St. Thomas Orthodox Cemetery in Graceland Park Cemetery. Annie was born Aug. 9, 1926 in Sioux City; she was the daughter of Joseph and Sadie (Gosen) Skaff. Annie grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School. She worked as a seamstress for Tronvold Furriers in Sioux City and then moved to Hollywood, CA and worked as a seamstress there. Annie married Dean Lockwood Sept. 13, 1959 at St. Thomas Orthodox Church in Sioux City. After her marriage, she worked part time for Sioux City Bishops Cafeteria and as a caretaker for St. Thomas Orthodox Church. Her family was very important to her and Annie was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and aunt. She was a lifelong member of St. Thomas Orthodox Church and she had served as a chairman of Church bake sales. Survivors include: her husband Dean of Sioux City; her son: Mark Lockwood of Sioux City; her daughter: Theresa and her partner Laurie Schnee of Sioux City; her sister: LeSeema Malerelis of Houston, TX; 6 grandchildren: Dawn Caskey, Kelley McPeek, Amber McPeek, James McPeek, Matthew Crane and Marcus Eyer; 13 great grandchildren; her cousins: Victoria Carlson and her husband Ron of Sioux City, David Koury of Iowa City, IA; brothers in law: Robert Lockwood, of Charles City, IA, James Lockwood of Hiawatha, IA, and Lee Lockwood of Dows, IA. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Ferris Skaff, George Skaff, Michael Skaff, David Skaff, Rev. Thomas Skaff, Abraham Skaff and Joseph Skaff, Jr; her sisters: Mary Sellers, Sophie Skaff and Frances Hanna Pallbearers will be Huey Sullivan, James McPeek, Matthew Crane, Adam Dudley, Travis Caskey and Mark Hanna.
