Fay Wanda McLaughlin, 79, of Sioux City, passed away Friday May 31, 2013, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with Deacon Patricia Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. Fay W. McLaughlin was born Jan. 25, 1934, to Helen Dyer in Fort Cobb, Okla. She graduated from Sioux City Central High School. She married Don McLaughlin. He preceded her in death March 7, 1994. She was a resident of Sioux City the majority of her life. She was employed at Sioux Tools, and at Wal-Mart as a greeter for 20 years. Survivors include her son, Steven (Mary Ann) and their two children of Montclair, Va.; three grandsons, Brian (Samantha) McManus and their four children of Sioux Falls, S.D., Joshua Schroeder and his two children of Hutchinson, Minn., and Isaiah (Melanie) Schroeder and their two children of Hutchinson; and a granddaughter; Life (Aaron Sr.) Gries and their three children of Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Thomas Dyer; husband, Don McLaughlin; a son, Micheal McManus; and a daughter, Holly McLaughlin.
