Mary Stamoulis, 82, of Sioux City passed away, surrounded by her family at home on Friday, April 26, 2013. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, with the Rev. George P. Pappas officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a Trisagion service at 5 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Mary was born May 8, 1930, in Crete, Greece, the daughter of Nick and Irene Fondoulakis. She came to the United States in 1947 at the age of 16. Mary married George Stamoulis and to this union, two children were born. George preceded Mary in death in 1981 in Sioux City. Mary's greatest passion was caring for her family and baking. She is survived by her children, Risty and wife, Karen of Sioux City, and Tina and husband, Greg Haar of Sioux City; grandchildren, Sarah Stamoulis, Kristin and husband, Jim Mundorf, Kayla Haar and Kara Haar; great-grandchildren, Sage and Macoy Mundorf; and three sisters, Stella, Stephanie and Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Paul.
